We are happy to announce that Space Inventor is one of five Danish NewSpace companies that have been awarded project funding through ESA and The Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, to develop and demonstrate new technolgies and strengthen the Danish foothold in the international market. Through the ESA ARTES Program, we have been granted EUR 784.000 for our EDISON IOD Mission, with which we will launch and operate a 6U satellite using our latest platform and ground segment to validate the technology and mission design. In addition to the purpose of validating our platform and mission design, the satellite will also fly a number of new systems for in-orbit demenstration, such as our laser satcom module, which we are currently developing through the ESA ARTES ScyLight Program.
With the Edison IOD Mission, Space Inventor gets the opportunity to join the ESA ARTES Pioneer program as a validated “Space Mission Provider”, offering complete in-orbit validation / test missions.
